AI will permeate everything you do

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is all around us. You encounter it daily in the Face ID, smart speakers, social media, sending emails, searching online, banking, watching Netflix and shopping on Amazon. It influences what you watch, see and buy.

A good Product Strategy requires you to have a deep understanding of your customers, and market and know the art of the possible when it comes to emerging technologies like AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and AR/VR.

While not all products need to use AI, the ones that do and use it effectively build an excellent unfair advantage in the process, putting them light years ahead of their competitors.

Selligent Marketing Cloud — Product overhaul & acceleration

Harpal led Selligent product teams to rethink and accelerate the product development to deliver on their promise of AI-powered omnichannel platform. His leadership led the business to meet their aggressive annual financial targets ($MM) and build a customer-centric culture.

Harpal turned the MVP of a prediction engine into a commercial success by redefining product strategy, positioning and establishing multiple strategic partnerships. He helped the business in raised Series A, increased their ARR by 10x and facilitated the acquisition of a data science team.

Syte.ai — Integrating visual AI to eCommerce platform

Harpal looked into various build vs buy solutions to address customer engagement for intu.co.uk. He led the integration from Proof of Concept to productionising Syte.ai’s image recognition technology leading to increase 27.5% Click-Through Rate (CTR) and direct affiliate revenue.

Automata — Taking robotics automation to SMEs

Harpal established product function at Automata covering people, product and processes, and helped them achieve P/M fit. His efforts delivered new customers and additional revenue to the business through pricing relaunch, business model review and strategic partnerships.

Waive — Predicting emerging trends for data-driven marketers

Harpal advised Waive on the product startegy, customer acquisition and helped in running pilot tests with customers. The early traction for solving the immensly complex problem has put Waive into the top 50 European Startups despite being in closed beta.

Chik — Launching machine learning recommendation engine

Harpal founded Chik.com, launched and scaled it’s recommendation engine for B2B etailers using machine learning powered by data from street style bloggers. The startup raised multiple rounds of venture funding after it’s initial success with both end users and retailers.
